Talking Funny

It's funny to read some of the misconseptions people have about our cars...an 18 sec quarter mile? lol... I was getting a high 15 before 5 speed swap and a high 14 after 5 speed swap. They get so defensive about how our cars aren't fast. No one ever went boasting about how they we're faster than an RX-7 but who know's depending on the car they may be. Anyways... I'd still rather have the SVX But maybe I'm just partial...

having owned an RX-7 i would say that yes they are fast.

they also have a worse exhaust tone than a honda civic

ride worse than the turbo Toyota MR2 I replaced it with,

and RX-7s, when turbo-ed, blow up quite frequently. I understand Mazda on average loss thousands per car in warranty work.

Maybe if Dayle has picked up his Skyline we could get him to pick on them for being slow

Somebody posted this thread already...it was quite some time ago, though.

Yeah, the misconceptions and errors in figures are funny.

I can imagine that the RX7 has a funny exhaust note - it's a tiny engine. Now, what Mazda gets (in terms of power - torque is another thing entirely) out of a 1.3L rotary is damned impressive, but don't expect the thing to rumble.

Overall, the RX7 site reads like a lot of others. Some adults, but also many 'I've raced that' kiddies.
