My "new" SVX.

I got my car back from the paint shop today. Pictures are in my locker under "first pics of new paint"

It looks like a new car.

Very nice. I'd powercoat the wiperarms though. Great job!

looks great, Mike!
i could be wrong, but i don't think you want to have that hood protector on for a while until the paint cures completely, if it was just done recently.....and don't wash it (for a few weeks?)

I does look really good Mike. But I agree with Alan, although I am sure you want to protect it from stone chips,I might not be a good iidea to have the bra on.I would try to find some kind of thin film like Ron had on when he came out to Indiana.

I gotta get THAT image outta my head!

I agree Mike. Keep it uncovered, even film for a couple of weeks. Rinse it with water, no soap for a couple of weeks. When you do use soap, DO NOT use kitchen dishwashing soap, use a soap formulated for auto usage as it is not as harsh.

Car looks GOOD! Hopefully everything worked out for you!

Todd

I was talking about his car,not Ron himself. That would be an image that I would not want in my head.

Car looks awesome, Mike. I like the 97 grill - never seen one on a green svx yet.

I put the hood thingy on just to drive from the paint shop to lancaster. I removed it immediatly.

OK, here's what you've all been waiting for! I paid $340 for the paint job. (That was the cost of the paint and other materials.) Labor was free since I had it done at the local high school autobody class!!! Special thanks to all at Brashear High School in Pittsburgh.
