new future owner of a white? 92 svx

i would like first to say hi to everyone and happy to find a great place forum. i been watching at this forum for like two weeks. im planning to buy a 92 svx, i dunno what trim lol, but its white. since the moment i saw it i liked it. actually i never saw one in my life. but now im proud to eventually own one. it has some problem but i dont care since its a exotic car. my cousin told me that needs to be replace w the front low are bushing or something like that. the tire is rubbing the fender. it also need a fuse for the fans from the radiator. also the pulley from the a/c is mess up but right now is winter so i just need the heater working. there is also a problem on the differential i think. he told me is pretty loud but i dunno yet what is going on. right now im really happy to have this unique car, and i actually was ing around and i think we all have a jap supercar. will post pics later when i get it

If it has the factory sunroof it is a LS-L (touring model)

Re: new future owner of a white? 92 svx

For the 92's it was either the LS model or LS-L. They are exactly the same mechanically, but the LS-L, or Touring Package came with leather seats, power drivers seat, sunroof, speed sensative steering, 6-speaker system, CD-player (optional on LS cars), and heated mirrors. Oh, and the woodgrain trim.

Re: new future owner of a white? 92 svx

wikipedia shows top speed of 92 ls at 154, and the 92 ls-l at 155mph
are they wrong?

Re: new future owner of a white? 92 svx

I'd say that's open to debate. The Car and Driver test in 1991 yielded a top speed of 140 in a 92 LS-L, but on youtube there is a video of an SVX with the speedometer pegged (160+) on the autobahn. The only question is how stock that one is.

Re: new future owner of a white? 92 svx

Congrats, welcome. In dash gps dvd bit gets tricky with space in the rear, so you might want to look into that. If it has heated mirrors, there will be a button to the left of the steering wheel.
