My problem is with the auto-up & auto-down function not working. The only schematics I've seen posted for the driver's switch assembly don't even start to reflect the circuitry that's really in there. I'm going to open the switch assembly up and reconnect it to the door wiring. Then I'll move the slide on the driver's switch without the button. If it works, then my problem is with the button's plastic leaver not moving the switch's slide far enough to hit the auto up/down contacts. If it still doesn't work, then I have to dig into the switch/relay circuit.

Does anyone have a schematic that shows the complete wiring of the driver's switch assembly, including the relays?

Thanks

My problem was with the circuitry inside the Driver's switch, either a bad relay or some other component. I was never able to find the schematic for the internals of the Driver's switch. I finally bought another driver's switch at a junk yard and that solved my problem.

I did have a problem once with the passenger's window switch and ended up fixing it by swapping it with one of the rear switches (who sits in the back seat and needs to open the windows, anyway?) I had to swap the connectors (cut and splice) to do that. All the remote window switches get their power through the driver's switch. So the driver's switch can also be the problem when one of the other 3 windows doesn't work.

Good Luck!

You wouldn't happen to want to sell your half-working drivers switch panel, would you? Mine doesn't have a drivers switch AT ALL, so one that just doesn't do auto up/down is fine with me... I just don't want to pay $100 + shipping for a new one if I can get a cheaper one.

That is, if you didn't destroy yours taking it apart. Wish any of my local junkyards had SVX's...

I was actually talking to the guy above you... you posted while I was typing mine, haha. My drivers window switch is broken, so one with more broken switches doesn't really interest me...

I sent mine to another guy who didn't mind that the Auto Up/Down wasn't working. Sorry.

XT6 Motor in my SVX!

So I took apart my driver side switch and I actually took it apart when I say that, but anyways I discovered that the metal part inside under the switch on that side was not touching the metal above inside the switch. Well its kinda hard to describe I made a little pic showing it from the side view. The first is how mine was the second is how it's supposed to be, and is now. It was just on the side that makes the window go down, there are two switches in each switch if that makes any sense. One to go up one to go down but when there is nothing being pressed they rest touching on the top part of the contact point. Mine was bent so it was not touching the bottom or the top at resting. I rebent it and cleaned it a little and now it works I can roll down my window and up. (on a side note I now have an XT6 motor in my svx and that thing kicks butt its faster then the SVX motor I screwed up during this whole proccess)

so it was the master switch...?
Wait, the xt6 window motor fits and is faster? That sounds like a cool mod.

Take it apart (there are several screws on the top part), and spray everything down really well with electrical contact cleaner. Let it dry, and put it back together. This may solve your problem, and will keep you from having to spend 76 bucks on a new switch.

My driver side window control for the passenger window will open the passenger window but, it will not close the passenger side window, I have to reach across and close the passenger window with the passenger window control. Is cleaning the driver side controls with electrical cleaner the best first fix? The passenger window has been slow to close for some time, now it will not close with the driver button. What to do?????

It's a possible, short-term fix you might as well try, but you'll probably need to replace the master switch unit.
