Trans slip yoke
Has anyone rebuilt their driveshaft? In other words, replace the yokes and u-joint and had it welded on the driveshaft? I was told you can not replace the yoke and the only way to avoid buying the entire driveshaft is to weld on a new yoke etc.

Seeing that no one answered my question, I'll update you on the fix. The yokes and u-joints are not replacable on the SVX, you'll have to buy the whole shaft (over 500 dollars). I found a shop in Clifton N.J. who cut off the yoke on the shaft and welded on a new one and replaced the other side going into the trans to match. Now I have a new set of yokes with a replacable u-joint. All work, parts and balance= 250 dollars
