Now there's a debateable question. Some dyno tests done by a few of the tuner magazines have shown a small HP gain when similar wires have been installed on other cars, including a WRX. There's no good theory to explain the HP increase though.

some claim they do, some say it's BS. Use the search button for the "magic three", much the same principle. If your vehicle is stock with no stereo "upgrade", cleaning the ground connections at both ends is probably good enough IMO. Might check the condition of the wires from the alternator. Heat under the hood has baked the insulation on some owners wires and they may become quite brittle.

It doesn't look JDM to me. It looks like quasi-asian rice equipment. Make your own.

Maybe because it is 7A.M not only is that funny but Rob is right.
Seen better wires, so save your $$$.

Here is a suggestion. On a 10 y.o car things corrode, you can clean your grounds, reconnect, do the Alt or Stereo upgrade , maybe add something similar to what you found, just NON Quasi-asian and return the Grounds to Factory Spec or Above.

Things will work better!

see, I dunno if it create's HP.. Maybe it all just works better so a difference is noticed and can be repeated , recorded, graphed. There has been many odd ball wiring details found and the Fix given usually includes adding Better wire or New ones. There are so many overlaping pathways in the wiring. I think it makes good sense, restore it to factory spec or above and naturally you get Better performence...

Now I'm going to go run and hide before someone toss's a Dynometer at me.
