(Do I note a bit of the Accord in the front? And the lower console controls look like the Mazda 6. Not criticizing; just wondered if anyone else noted the similarity?)
Yes, I also thought I saw a similarity between the Legacy and the Accord. It's very subtle, though - the Accord's fenders extend pretty far inboard, and the headlights are much taller.

They goofed and put the steering wheel on the "wrong" side!

Wonder how much it will cost. The STi sells for $50,000 in Canada, is the B4 going to cost $65,000??

Thumbs up

It is a pretty and attractive car. I like it a lot.

Considering the pictures are carrying Subaru marketing logos, I find one thing pretty deplorable: the car has strongly darkened passenger door windows, possibly rear screen as well. What is the point of this?? Are we all apprentice mafiosi, and do not want people to see us as we drive?

This is a feature of cars bought by the nouveau riche here at the moment. The rear cabins get darkened glass, makes the SUVs look like vans. Absolutely no taste whatsoever.

Tinted glass is OK by me, and even darkening that glass after purchase is OK. But having some of the windows darker than others??, come on, where is the sense of symmetry, the sense that the car is a cohesive shape, any modicum of good taste?

We have Travellers here, people of no fixed abode, and their taste in vehicular decoration runs to the Romany, lots of chrome, black glass. Similar to what you in the US might call bling bling. Not very much need for the understated elegance thing.

Not for me. If the cars arrive in the showroom like that, if all the windows are not the same colour density, I will walk right on past. Some things can not be forgiven and should not be tolerated.

a couple of the things i didn't really like were the "RSX headlights" and the chrome strip in the grille - i would have to black that out!

SVXdriver_007 - i must have missed your post last week! i would have been drooling all over this thing if i would have seen it.

i don't know if i'd want a B4 or an STi more. i've pretty much always liked GT's - big, powerful highway eaters. after driving the WRX, i kinda forgot how much fun small, tossable cars are. i'd probably have to flip a coin when i comes time to buy my next car, unless the B4 was WAY expensive.

The windows will not be tinted from the factory. Often they will tint them for a worldwide product shot to obscure the RHD/LHD problem.

Yo Joe,

My cousins, Vito, Bruno, and Nino of "Da Brooklyn SVX Club" didn't care for the 'apprentice' remark. They told me to ask you to cool it.

Hey Larry, no offense meant to da family

O/T::

Last night, Ann and I went to see, and hear, Bruce Springsteen in Dublin.

If New Jersey never exports anything else other than the Boss and his music, you guys can leave it at that, job well done!

He did Rock, he did acoustic, he did sensitive elegies to 9/11 firemen, he did Rock'n'Roll.

We came from all over the island to hear him. People from Cork, from Derry, from Sligo, from Kildare, from Dublin, we all got blown away.

We roared applause, waved hands, sang with them, cried for the lost, then we rocked and we roared, just to reassure Bruce and ourselves that we were alive! . For just a little while I was as as Clarence Clemmons.

Over 50 thousand people encored them for a solid hour, and everyone went home smiling.

He must be doin' something right!!

Joe

You know I care Shane. I also share your thoughts, as awsome as the STI is I'm still a Legacy guy.

I agree, I think that looks stupid. However, I like the car a lot, all I have to say is :

"BMW-say-what?"

heh.

Subafreak,

I think that the rear roofline looks a bit "BMW-ish". It kind of reminds me of the older 300 series.
