Do I have.....?

Do I have heated side view mirrors?

1994 LS.

I have a spoiler, and I know I have the speed sensitive steering, but do I have those heated mirrors?

Cuz maybe that's why whenever I put fisheyes (Bubble mirrors) on them, the fisheyes always seem to fall apart on the inside.

not sure about placement on a 94. on a 92 model the switch for the heated mirrors is in a little cluster and just to the left of the switch that turns on/off parking lights (both of which are just to the right of the power outside rear view mirrors controls). The switch has a little symbol of a heat element overlaid on a left side mirror outline (all in white on the black switch face).

I could trade my SVX with my son's MR2 for a few days, then there would be 2 SVXs @ UCF - not likely, but always an option.

do you have the outside mirror defogger switch (next to the parking light switch) to the lower left of the steering wheel? it would have to be 'ON' for mirror defogging.

heated side view mirrors

sonofagun. didn't even know my mighty ninety-four had 'em. the svx gets our single-car garage plus it so seldom gets frosty here, i guess i just never had occasion to look for this feature. thx for pointing it out. maybe i'll leave the car outside some night just to try it.

Post I have that Button....

Yep, I have that button. I didn't ever know it defrosted my side mirrors too... just thought it defrosted my rear window.

Glad to know now.... I'm just still wondering if that causes my little fisheye mirrors to go bad.?.?.?

My 92 mirrors stay on whenever the key is on and the mirror switch is on.

Trying to do an endurance test, I leave the switches on all winter. Over the last few years of having them on, I haven't fried one yet. I'll let you know when I do.

Ah, so you're currently running a 'non-destructive reliability test.'

As soon as you fry one, it becomes a 'destructive reliability test.'
