Sputtery Engine When cold

I recently hosed off the top of my steering rack and got some H2O on the left side of engine (near the plugs and coil packs). I noticed that I now have a jerky sputter engine idle at a cold start-up. Seems that I get a real rich fuel mixture that causes some smoke from the rear exhaust. I'm assuming that a coil pack or plug got wet which might cause my cold crappy engine idle to run rich? Any one experience a erratic engine idle after a engine bath? What is the best thing to do? Pull each plug and get bloody knuckles or can I let them just dry off?? The car runs fine after it gets hot.

P.S.
I replaced the plugs about a year ago. I don't get any C/E Light warnings either.

Hi John,

Since this happened, how many times have you let the motor get warm enough to evaporate water?

Try driving it a bit more. I would think that the water would evaporate if the engine gets warm enough. What are the daytime temps there?

The temps are about 40-50 degrees. I think I'll pull each coil on the left side and clean and check my TB tomorrow.
