As an administrator of the site, Thank You for your donation. There are going to be some great ways to support this site in the near future and get some great services as well. Watch for the information. I would like to thank the rest of the members who have donated money to the site to help it exist. Chris has been very busy in the background upgrading software and getting things ready for the new services.

Let me explain something.... Last week I upgraded my Win2000 workstation machine to WinXP (BIG mistake). I did this becuse M$ announced that the support life for Win2K was coming to a close and after the next major patch, support would end. I Like 2000 much more than XP, but I also know that Electronic Arts is publishing games with no support for Win2000 (specifically Battlefield 2). I have been installing XP on machines for quite a while now and in doing so I got comforable to a no hassle job. In my previous ventures I was doing most of this work knowing a peice of information that I randomly forgot when I did this upgrade (I was behind a Cisco PIX for all the installs). When I did my home machine install (on a public IP), I finished and started the SP2 download/install as I wondered off to bed. Sometime around 2-3am, some A-Hole used an exploit that hoses an unpatched XP install and pushed a virus (or three) onto my machine. I have spent that last 8 days isolating machines and trying to recover for this mess. Yesterday was my first actuall bug free day (I think). The email for paypal stuff was processed on on of the many machines that had a case of the itchy/scratchies and thusly I didnt see/read anything from any email address for a while. This being said, "Thanks" for the support. I do appreciate it. For what its worth, the rough cost to operate this service/server is $150 a month. $50 a month if covered by donations. Yes, new services are beng worked on. An official announcement will come when the development makes it to an apha state. I will say that we will have a SVX World Network forums telephone number in the future. The new to come services are optional, yet provide additional functionality to the members here and a way to produce some income to offset costs (and or just create a reliable and accounted for way to recieve donations).

Thanks Chris I feel MUCH better now .Now that Chris has spoken and we now know is losing his shorts keeping this sight up ! why don't some of you 1200+ users pitch in some cash (it dosen't have to much) . I'm sure many or all of you have saved major $$$$"s because of this sight! I know I have. I'll tell you what I'm gonna do , Anyone who will donate $5 , I will match it up to $100 Dollars . This offer will run till the end of this month . Chris I expect you will notify me that all monies have been recieved! ,of corse after you get some sleep .OK HOW CUT BACK Skip the carwash one weekend-$15,skip starbucks one DAY $4.75,Forget Subway(make your own sandwitch one day) $6 .everyone complains about how tight their cash is but if you look hard it can be had!. Here I'll give you a perfect example : I had a guy come out to measure the windows in our house ,(my wife wants certain curtains and what not) I WAS JUST TO DAMN LAZY ,Ching Ching $100.00. See what I mean. I'm not telling anyone to cut off an arm for some cash ,all I;m saying is if you look at your situation i'm sure you can finds things you can cut back on to save some money , not to give to this sight per say but to help yourself! This sight as long as I've looking has never asked for any cash, But we all know it takes some to run it . So pitch in a bit and keep having fun here!
