Re: Wanted!

Does anyone know what goes wrong on these? I can try fixing them to increase supply.

There is a $2.00 MOSFET inside that goes bad. (Not fused)
Part is available from China with some lag time. If you're good with soldering on a small board, it's a 10 pin MOSFET. For myself, it's easier to rebuild a motor

I have the number if anyone needs it.

Re: Wanted!

I am indeed good at soldering and I could probably find a superior part that will not burn out so easily. Does anyone have a dead unit they want to loan out for an experiment?

Also, any info on the part or a schematic will help speed up the process.

Re: Wanted!

A HUGE SHOUT OUT AND THANK YOU TO TOM! "SVXFILES"
He came up with a unit from a 98 and it works perfectly in my 91! Lights back on.
For the next guy... It appears you can change the metal bracket on the outside or switch the guts (inside) both super simple! So I'm going to say that even though the part numbers differ, the guts are EXACTLY the same, only the bracket changed. Once the glove box is out, it's one screw to drop the unit and 2 plugs. About 2 minutes tops. The MOSFIT is available from China if you want to repair it, "IF" you can't find a replacement or if you want a spare. Good Luck and thank you all. It's awesome to have people who care and that are willing to support each other!!!

Re: Wanted!

I'm also faced with a failed Timer Module. Since my parts car is my daily driver, I need to find a different solution. I'm going to order some PU7456s and try to fix it myself. Seems the minimum order is 100 units, so I'll have spares....
