Power Mode - Pin A4
hello all, I was doing the power mode mod to my 92 SVX. I made a pin, stuck it in the back of A4 of TCU. However, no Power Mode light comes on when I put the car in gear. The Power Mode light does work at ignition.
I am getting voltage on the wire from that A4 pin... it sparks a bit when I hook to ground. Is this normal? Also, when A4 is hooked to ground, my check engine light comes on and car runs really rough. I think my TCU has a short in it? What do you think? Thanks for the help. |

Re: Power Mode - Pin A4

Re: Power Mode - Pin A4
What year is your SVX? The 97 has a different arrangement that the 92-95. It sounds like you have the wrong wire.

Re: Power Mode - Pin A4
It's a '92 as per the first post.

Re: Power Mode - Pin A4
Yes, it's a 92. I pulled the correct TCU plug - per the instructions and my plug wires looked just like the pictures. A4 was open, so that's where my pin was inserted and taken to ground. But alas, no Power Mode. Just the check engine light and poor idle.
Oh well. Anyone near Oregon that has experience with a 5-speed swap? Thanks for the replies. |
