Rear Parking Sensors

Parking being a little tight on this small island of ours, rear parking sensors are a useful add and though I have fitted a few over the years never have I tried on anything with such a deep rear bumper. It is usually a case of reaching up between the rear box and the bumper to get to the connectors once you have drilled the holes and fitted the sensors. Also need to pick up power from one of the reversing lights, which we have on the boot/trunk and not the more usual bumper.

Anyone done this job before, or is it all about big spaces or touch parking?

Any advice appreciated.

Peter

Re: Rear Parking Sensors

i think a backup camera would be a lot less work to install then parking sensors. i have done both and sensors require more wiring and holes.

Re: Rear Parking Sensors

Wondered about a camera, mount it above rear licence plate seemed the logical place, but wondered where to hide the screen?
