Climate controll.

I have take a diagnostic test on my clima controll and get the code 34.
When i choose Defrost the air flow goes on window and when i choose auto or vent the air flow only goes on window and foot. It will be Nice to get the hole cupe to get cooled down not just the feet.

The code is 34 Mode door motor faulty engine .
And when i try to look on the part catalog i can only fine:
Motor-acturator mode part 72041PA000
Motor-acturator mix par 72063PA000

Is the some of these that i have to change? And how is it hard to get this fixed?

Re: Climate controll.

Not too bad. The gears inside the mode motor has probably lost their teeth.

The position is a bit difficult, but can be done.

Re: Climate controll.

Also check the actuator arm located on the side of the console by your driver's foot. If dirty, it can stick, not allowing the door to cycle to the dash vent mode.
It is easy to see if it is working.

Re: Climate controll.

I hope this question compliments the topic instead of hijacking it. But can similar issues be affecting my car's ability to vent cool air at all? I have had every summer for the last few years dump refrigerant in. Even with neon tracers I haven't found an actual leak. Is this a similar issue or one that probably has to do with the compressor?

Re: Climate controll.

I just replaced mine so if you have any trouble let me know I can probably send you some pictures of where the screws are and where the clip gets undone.
