Vagabond: 94 SVX AWD 5 Speed CT

I picked up a 1994 SVX as a parts car for a future project. Until that project starts I plan on driving it a little.

It currently has what I believe may be a WRX 5 speed Manual transmission swapped in. (EDIT 2002 Forester 5 Speed)

Other note worthy mods:

C/D Rotors
Stainless Brake Lines
Lowering Spings
Aftermarket Wheels
Cold Air Intake

and some other misc things.

Wow that's pretty nice, just needs paint and it's good to go.

Re: Vagabond: 94 SVX AWD 5 Speed CT

Well it needs a bit more than that, as its has a "salvage title" but hasnt been titled yet.

The exhaust has some major leaks.

Either the lifters or tappets need some attention.

The maf wires are fubar'ed

some issues with the windows and some roof.

I just need some time to go through it and attempt to get a title.

We shall see.

Re: Vagabond: 94 SVX AWD 5 Speed CT

I used to work off of Jennings road exit, but I never ran into another a black svx in that area, I'm jealous now..

I keep spotting a red one in Wethersfield/Rocky Hill on rt99.
Seen it 3 times now, but its always going the other way!

On the transmission bell housing near the starter there should be a white label with the trans code. It should start "TY7". Post the code and we can ID exactly what trans it is.

I'll check tomorrow. I haven't even got to the engine yet.

I find new surprises every time I tear into the car.

Im tempted to see if the ecu has been socketed.

That would be my next thing to have you check. Stock injectors are pink, and the 370cc ones for the ecutune stage 2 chip are purple.

Re: Vagabond: 94 SVX AWD 5 Speed CT

I opened up the ecu.

Everything looks stock, MAF is stock (albeit FUBARED).

I doubt the injectors are other than stock.

Looked at the diff today when I pulled the exhaust.

Looks like the stock diff.

I hope whoever installed the 02 forester trans swapped the ring and pinion into the svx LSD.

O_o
