Where can I get new headlights?

How do I get the clear lens in front of the headlight? Anybody in Germany that can get the glass lenses there?

For people who like the look of the clear lenses, they certainly are an option. However, I think that it's an awful lot of work and awful lot of money just to have that look.

Re: Where can I get new headlights?

Some folks Velcro their visors so they stay up as well... probably worth the cost of the Velcro.

different strokes for different folks...

Re: Where can I get new headlights?

Seriously, there are some great kits to improve the appearance of the "old" lenses. Takes a little work, but that would be my example of "worth it"...
Resurface and polish those rascals up nice, stick a HID light in them, and you are living in a new world!

Re: Where can I get new headlights?

OK, so I have looked into the clear lenses option. Mine are not that bad, as I have already buffed them up and they look fairly nice. The passenger side is beginning to "yellow" at the flutes on the inside. The driver's side still looks good due to an accident replacement done a few years back.

I will not butcher them up to have the clear look. If I come up with a cheap set of used ones to convert to clear then maybe. (still have a problem with $150 to do so)

I really want the glass ones. Any knowledge as to what countries required them to shop for them there in junk yards etc?

Dave

Check on the european ebay sites. That's the only place they were used. Expect to pay a lot more than $150 and you still have to modify the wiring or you can swap the lenses only.

Re: Where can I get new headlights?

Has anyone ever considered going to a glass shop and having them MAKE a set of glass replacement lenses? I honestly don't think it'd be that awful, price-wise... Even if they did cost say... $200, you'd never have to worry about them yellowing and buffing them. Plus, they'd look much cleaner and nicer than the stockers, and be as eye-catching as the smallcar lenses.

*Gives me an idea for next product*

How do you mean that?
That they yellow?
That the light output is woefully lacking?

Or in a Bow Chick a Wow, Wow, way?

I'm sorry, that was just wrong.
