The Official Economy Thread
We can all see the rising prices of gas. Let's make a list of techniques, ways or mods to get the maximum MPG's out of an SVX.
1) Tire pressure 2) Clean air filter 3) Keep the RPM's low 4) Travel at 55 MPH on the high way 5) Don't speed up to a stop 6) Don't turn on the power light 7) Coast if possible 8) Gas filter 9) Would the FWD fuse make any difference?

Keeping the RPMs low isn't beneficial if the engine is laboring. And the FWD fuse wouldn't make any difference, 'cos you're lugging around the same drivetrain, whether or not any power's going to the rear wheels.
I don't believe there's any mechanical modification that will significantly improve SVX fuel economy. To this list I'd add, don't ride the brake. dcb |

Ride a horse or walk.
Seriously...my SVXs haven't seen much of the road lately.

The biggest change I can think of is to burn regular instead of Premium fuel. That would save $.20 or more /gal.

Is it bad to put regular in our cars? Will you see a difference in mileage?

Hmmm....Completly gut the car, and never run with more than a quarter tank. The reduced weight should help reduce the fuel used to movethe car.
Also, dont slow down for corners, youll use more fuel trying to re-accelerate after a turn
