Just an update:

Subi-crosser and I are trying to get in contact with the Mason-Dixon dragway. I'm still hoping to hold the meet the weekend of July 28th or 29th.

I'm certainly hoping to get the track. Should be fun.

I may ask for $10 per person for those who are eating crabs. Those little buggers aren't as cheap as they used to be. As for mallets and knives, I have plenty...plus if you want you can bring your own.

More updates soon!

Did you ever call Scott at Frederick Motor Sports? That one definitely needs some love.

Is your buddy who has one live in or around Frederick?

We could possibly do the Hagerstown track. I haven't been there in years though. Otherwise there are plenty of nice parks in and around Frederick. Plenty of parking and lots of space for other things. The park by me doesn't have the pool in yet . Maybe next year? Anyway, I would definitely have burgers, hotdogs, chips, coleslaw, potao salad, ETC. Crabs are great, but I would only get a bushel...maybe. I hope the prices will get better. Also it depends on how many people want the little critters.

Subi-crosser:
Would the track have plenty of additional parking for a cookout and parking for those who do not want to race?

I have 2 of those pop up canopys. I can also provide some tables and a few coolers as well as the crabs and tools for them. It would also be great if people could bring some food items and plates, plastic ware, drinks, etc.

bugman1964: Owning a SVX is definitely NOT a requirement. BUT, if you're looking for one I know of a few in the area for sale. It just depends on your price range.

If you're interested in coming, just keep checking back and I will provide all the info you need (time, date, place/directions).

Check your inbox subi-crosser, you'll be getting a PM from me.
The Street Rodders rented the grounds a few years back. We used the State park for everything that didn't involve racing. ( about 5 miles)

HEAD COUNT!!! I need numbers to do a deal!

I need to know how many RACERS are interested. I will go and rent the track if necessary. We can go in as competitors, but that takes longer and costs more.
We need 20 racers to get his attention. ( can be 2 or 3 racing the same car)

The first (rule) must be a SUBARU.
The OTHER rule, must be there.

SIGN IN, PLEASE!

The last weekend of JULY.
The track is less than 50 miles from DC, and 65 miles from Cumberland.

I WILL EVEN sponsor the TROPHY for FASTEST SUBI and 2nd fastest Subi! ( won't be real big, but the matter will be settled for a year!)

Rebecca,
It was a pleasure to meet you sat!
I was in the middle of a gazillion things or I would have 'cleaned up' for the occasion.
Your friends were also nice. I hope to see all of you again! It's a shame that you couldn't have stayed to watch me smoke all those Corvettes on sunday with Tom's NON- supercharged car!

The results should be posted today. I was 6.8 seconds from the fastest when I quit looking!
Going in the right direction.

Tom,
do you think the SC will be back by the last week of July???

Mayby you should have went to Tom's house to get the part he delivered!
He has 11 in his yard, but I don't know if he's counting mine or not. The ugly silver with the 'issues' is mine.
Most of the others have a price tag, "i think'.

I now have the FIRST Subi sports car, ( 85 XT turbo 5 sp coupe), (That I haven't driven for 14 hours,) AND the car it evolved into, ( the 92 SVX) BOTH in silver and trimmed in black. (which I haven't driven since friday)
I love it when a plan comes together!!!!!
