Eeek kidney stone surgery
  I'm having surgery for kidney stones in a few hours. I'm really nervous about it since my last (heart) surgery really didn't go well, I'm not a good person to operate on. Guess I'm hoping for sympathy/advice/reassurance

Kidneys are much less important.
Unlike the heart, you can live just fine with one removed! But seriously, good luck, I hope all goes well.  Dan

Hey there!
Several friends and family members have gone through various kidney stone procedures, including surgery. None had any major difficulties! (looking into crystal ball) I forsee a quick and speedy recovery, with only a very short period of a bit of pain and discomfort. Everything will turn out just fine... honest! Heck... kidney stones is a much simpler and totally different thing than heart troubles. Don't compare the two. You'll be back in good shape in no time!
