One last thing to fix, pop from front left
Now that my car is painted, I have one last thing to fix, but can't seem to figure out what it is.
The symptoms: While making a left turn at under 30mph, there will be a low-pitched 'pop' from the front left at about 1/4 turn of the wheel, and again at 1/2 turn. If I hold the wheel in place the 'pop' will repeat itself. Speed bumps also seem to make it 'pop'. There is no clicking sound. On full lock there is no sound. The 'pop' can also be felt as a slight vibration in the wheel. The 'pop' began shortly after I replaced the struts with some used ones, the day following the alignment. I checked under the car, and the lip on the edge of the control arm was bent. I thought that maybe it was catching, so I bent it back in place, but it didn't help. Possible diagnosements: CVs - Were replaced about 20k ago ball joint - not sure how to check struts - were replaced with ones that have about 40k on them, mounts looked good to me Any ideas?

If it was CV joints I would think it would make the noise worse the closer it got to full turn. My guess is something with your steering rack.

Well I checked out the steering system, everything looks ok to me...while parked I can turn from lock to lock without any unusual noises. No fluid appears to be leaking, the boots on the rack are not torn.
Fluid was a little low so I added some more, have yet to to drive it, but I doubt that was the problem. Maybe I'll try some PS additive

is it only when you accelerate through turns or coast through turns?
