Cumberland AutoX Pics

Here are some action shots from the Cumberland Autocross this past weekend.

First, me. Not my best driving performance; I had a lot of trouble staying on course. There was one section in the middle with a cross over and I kept getting lost in the sea of cones. I ended up 39th out of 104 in raw time, so it could have been worse...

Here's a wickedly fast something or the other. Tube frame with a Buick Grand National engine and a fiberglass body that resembles a post-apocalyptic Lotus Esprit. Did I mention it was really fast?

The world's loudest Porsche 914. This thing was driven by different drivers in each of the four heats. Oh, my ears.

It was really a nice location, and a nice event in general. Hopefully I'll do better next time...

Put the image in your locker and then put the URL for that image between the URL tags (or click the button.

Also, that "thing" with the Buick engine...that engine must be mid mounted! How did he do?

Nice pics guys. Was that the first time you autoxed the S-4 Rufus? If so is it worth going to from the 911? I'm sure it is a completely different animal. Probably a little more competative but is it more fun??? Hoping to get down to one of 'em at some point this summer. Definately wanna try to make it to one of the Mercedes as well if I'm allowed.

Great pics guys. This has got to be one of my favorites! *drool*

-Chike

P.S. Your blue S4 looks hot Rufus! Think you might be able to make the drag meet on 6/25?

Hey Bill-

I think I'm pretty well maxed out on the body roll in that picture. I might try some different shocks at some point, but in general I like the way the car handles now. It feels a lot tighter than it looks in that picture.

Of course, I'd like it to handle like this:

but to do that, I'd have to change my class to Bill-Stock

We got 5 runs total.
