Definitely good news. If it passed in CA then it will pass everywhere else.

Have to admit to sweating bullets while I waited at the "test only" shop. Running Shell 91oct. Ran it early, with free retest, in case I had to pull the chips. Don't wait too long though, to enjoy the noticeable difference in low-end response in the car!

Big difference

Is it a real big difference Rojo? I drive on the freeway mostly now and am wondering if I should bother.

Truthfully Steve, The difference is noticeable throughout the rev range, but most definitely on the low-end. Not cheap, but what in the SVX-world is?

Funny, but I believe the only time you see the results in Ca are if you fail. Otherwise the shop forwards results electronically to the DMV. The machines are tied into the State network. I just send the Registration stub and payment, matching up in the State data banks.

You Don't Have To Worry...

all those hurricanes blow your Fla smog away...along with alot of other stuff.
Calif's gotten somewhat better but we still have days when there's too much crap in the air to run/exercise.

I was teezin about the smog. I did about 20 years of my life living and working in SoCal. We were back last year and earlier this year. I was pleasantly surprised.

That's Cool...

I was teasin' about those nasty hurricanes. Glad your suprise was pleasant. I take it you're referring to the mildly better air quality...we have lots of time to think about it while we're stuck for hours in traffic burning $3.00 a gal gas.
But at least our SVX's can pass smog w/ the ECU in the car.
