getting fuel, cranks but wont start - no cel

Hey guys,
A gremlin has just made itself at home in my svx:
I was driving all day, no problem, in fact I was thinking to myself how tits it was running, then I made a stop to go into a store. Idled perfectly no problems at all.
Come back out, and crank crank crank no start.
No cel, no signs of trouble at all just won't start. Wtf.
My first guess was fuel.
Pulled the fuel line off where it comes into the fuel rails and cranked it, fuel is pumping.
I checked all the fuses, none blown. I have gas.

How can I check for spark?

It was running and idling perfectly then it just Wouldn't start...
I can't figure it out! any suggestions on where to troubleshoot next?

Try tapping on the. MAF.

Do you have a Ecutune chip in your ECU? if so check to make sure it didn't have any chip creep.

if your ce light doesn't come on when you turn on the key then the computer isn't booting up. i would check powers and grounds to the ecm.

If it had a chip in the ECU and it falls out, all lights on dash are on and don't go off when you crank engine. I think what he is saying he is not getting a CEL error. If the car doesn't start the CEL will be on.now I am confused ...

i thought he meant that the cel didn't turn on when he first turned the key on but i may have misunderstood.

i mean to say that before it happened no cel.

now it just cranks

****. i already replaced the ecu once... it could be a short that causes the ecu to malfunction

I only had that happen 4 times during owner ship of my 92 (14 years ) I would stop for grocery com out go to start car, it would turn over and fire up and stall. Almost like it didn't catch. Is this anything like that? All I did was hold it to the floor and crank. It would eventually start.
