Engine Coil clip How to unplug it Q:

hi i am wondering how you unplug the coils from the car.
there is clip that is attached to a metal bracket it does slide a little, but there is no where to pinch to release it from there. I need to replace a coil.
(not the end that hooks to the spark plug the other end )

There is a bracket on each side which holds the set of clips for each coil. They are on each side closest to the firewall and are slightly above the coils as far as height. For the Passenger side, if you remove the airbox/bend the piping you can get better access to it.

Drivers side

While your doing this job, I would suggest looking at the condition of all the coils and applying dielectric grease to the insides of the coils
