Code 23-abnormal MAF voltage

Hi,
I keep getting code 23, MAF voltage abnormal on my daughters 92. Car was stalling and idling poorly after major service (timing belt, cam seals, vc gaskets, sparkplugs, crank seal, etc.) Then after about 600 miles, it healed itself! I pulled the code, then tried to reset with the two blue wires in the 1st two left positions of connector. But code comes back immediately. I hate to fix what is not broken, car is running excellent...any ideas?

I have a brand new OEM MAF sensor installed and am still throwing a code 23, even after 40+ driving cycles and a few attempts at code clearing.

I think to completely clear the code in your case you have to disconnect the battery and let it sit overnight. Maybe someone could clarify this better.

Not quite over-night, 30min or so is more than enough.

The MAF connector, make sure that all the leads on the end are clean and clear of obstructions/corrosion. Make sure it's making a good connection with the MAF. Bad voltage could be additional impedence caused by crud of some sort on the connection.

Mine went bad yesterday, i replaced it on my lunch break, and now it's running perfectly, hopefully you'll have as good of luck as i did.

I left the battery disconnected overnight. It worked!! Even better, after driving an hour, still no codes

You just had a code stuck in memory. Trust me if you had a bad maf meter you would know. Try unplugging it sometime and see how your car runs...it's not pretty. If you do do that then you'll get the code again, lol.
