water in exhaust?

i just had to drive through a flooded area to get home and i am wondering what the consequences of water in the exhaust creates. the car still sounds the same..i dont know if any had really gone in, but it's just a question.

Just make sure to let the car fully warm up and it should bake any water out of the system.

I'd be more concerned with water in the intake. If you still have the stock airbox, it dips fairly low inside of the fender. Open your filterbox and inspect the filter and remove any water that you can see in there.

Someone drove my car through a deep puddle once, the filter got so wet that it collapsed, I had to clean sand out of the airtube

I'd say keep the car running and open it up on the freeway to evaporate that water

I doubt much water could make its way into the exhaust, so long as the engine is running. As Hocrest said, it's the other end that would cause trouble.

It should be fine. I would make sure to run it to get it good and warm so it will get out any water.

Doesn't the svx airbox have holes in the bottom for that?

he better check anyway then... of course, you'd have to know if it got that bad.

yeah, you're right. there is a hole in the bottom of the intake box for water
