The Legacy Outback H6 Sedan has its "quirky" SUV styling but it not only satisfies your AWD requirement, it does it with the very nice H6 engine we all have come to know and love in the SVX. Sporting 212HP (instead of the 230HP of the SVX) it has a real nice little growl when punched. I have a 40 mile drive to work every day and I have really come to love my new Subie with its wood/leather Momo wheel and comfortable leather seating. A side note - I do miss my '97 SVX LSI but now I don't have to stoop to get in my car (Outback has 8" of ground clearance)

Here's the thing..

this woman cares nothing about performance. She wants safety and she wants a car that LOOKS fast. Actual performance figures mean nothing to her. I'm extremely disappointed by this, but, well, it's her money..

ps. budget is actually about 30k

Yes they were sold in Canada...except for the Eclipse. Until this year Mitsubishi has never had a dealership in Canada.

Now all we need is the Lancer EVO!!!

I heard somewhere that for 2005 the Grand Am will offer a 6spd AWD version sporting 250HP.

Honda Civic 4WD Wagon 4D
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Size Class Small Station Wagons
Engine Size (liters) 1.5
Cylinders 4
Transmission Manual (5 sp)
Drive 4WD or AWD
Gas Guzzler no
Turbocharger no
Supercharger no
Passenger Volume 893 (4D)
Luggage Volume 233 (4D)

Probably won't get much response from this, but I had to post it anyway. A handle of a certain member here got me thinking about it.

I test drove one of these, except it was called the Civic Alltrac. It was one of the slowest, riciest cars I've ever driven. A very humerous experience indeed.

Volvo S-60R...

I was doing some research on the new S-60R coming out soon. I'm a little confused about what we are going for here. Did she want a coupe or a sedan. The new volvo is a sedan. It has all-wheel drive and a twin turbo 5 cylinder with around 300 horse. Along with all the anemities and safety features of a volvo. The MSRP is about $39k. From what I was reading it is due out mid this year. It is slotted to compete directly with the 330xi. Hope that helped.

LMAO. I think she's already found her car. Every once in a while, I like to dig up old posts just to confuse people. I should have used "Hijack this Thread" instead.

Jaguar &BMW have also started advertising their AWD models.

The commercial that I don't like is the one from Audi showing a snow plow truck following an Audi quattro. I think that Audi should be reprimanded for showing a TV ad that will influence stupid people to do drive unsafely in the snow.

That's just one old man's opinion.
Actually, thats the Ford Modeno---uh, JAGUAR X-Type commercial...lol...those cars are appaulingly expensive...$42k and no CD Player!?
