Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, scotch in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA !!!!!

Actually, my spoiler has a few chips on the bottom half of the leading edge of the spoiler... I am to this day baffled as to how that happens... If it was a rock there should be a corresponding scratch or nick on the trunk lid, and there is nothing there...

Me too, and probably several more of us. A bit different if you have the wing.
I don't. But probably the same scenario.
When the car gets washed by hand, someone stands the wiper up, and forgets when the job is done, and the trunk gets opened. The Wiper arm catches the trunk lid. GelCoat is easy to fix if you make the time.

It only takes one time to make the gouge.
I have had to kick myself about 3 times now for that one.

At least on the front, there are rubber covers on the arms.

That is a more than comon problem with the spoilers. I don't know how rocks or whatever hit the leading edge, but it is not from the wiper. Maybe they follow the air flow up and over the roof line. It isn't just on the side of it either.

My mistake.
I wouldn't have thought the airflow was enough to take a hit that far back, and that far back down the plane.

I don't know, but that was just a thought. I wouldn't think that it could do that, but they sure get marked up by bugs or something.

Um...the svx was actually built in japan and imported, hence the made in japan statement. Now Im not sure if the usdm spoiler was manufactured in America and intalled by dealers, but If I remember correctly, I saw a picture of the last svx sold in America, getting off the ship, and it clearly had its spoiler. Unless there's something I dont know about, dare I say, that the selers statement is correct

Haha, the day has a toupe'
