Wisdom teeth, whats the point

honestly I was so hungry for normal food, I gummed a piece of toast...and my mother made steak...I couldn't resist..I had to have a bite....bad idea....It hurt like a female dog! and I didn't enjoy my steak

i only "developed" two and they were removed under general anesthesia when i was in high school. one was going to grow sideways into my existing teeth and the other should have grown in fine. my mother had to sign a bunch of paperwork since i was underage in case i didn't pull through. all i remember was being woken up and asking my mom if she got my teeth. i next asked to go to mcdonald's where i ordered a 20-piece chicken mcnuggets which i ate all of them before sleeping about 20 hours. that was the last solid meal i had for about two weeks. i can still feel the scars with my tongue 19 years later. crazy oral surgeon.

Well I said two weeks because my mouth was kinda sore and I didnt want to do anything stupid so I waited untill it fully healed. It is usually one week untill you can eat good solid food again but just dont go crazy. For the first few days or so you can only eat cold things...hot food will make your mouth swell up. I had pasta the night that I had the surgery done and I had to wait untill it was cold so i could eat it . If your drinking a shake dont use a straw....sip it through a cup. No smoking or anything like that either.

I got mine out a few years ago.
I still have holes where they were.
It sucked.
They knocked me out for it.

I had all 4 removed at the same time. I was knocked out when they did it. There was very minimal pain once the numbness wore off. Never really bothered me. Only thing that was annoying for me was the fact that I couldn't eat solid food for 2 weeks because of how tender the area was.

Same with me, but I was really annoyed by the drooling and inability to feel lips. ):

Ha ha...that's the first thing I did when I woke up from the anestesia was reach down to make sure everything was still there....I always hear these stories of pants at the ankles....etc....

The dentist I went to has the nickname of "the butcher" because you dont have to wait 5-6 weeks to get an appointment. He wasnt gentle at all but was out of his office in about an hour. Quick , efficient, painful, and cussed the whole time trying to get my teeth out. He really enjoys his work I guess
