So did you get covered with the junk that was in there when you pulled the cover off?

That's why I recommend everyone clean theirs out. We actually blew out a lot more powder using an aircompresser. I do believe the dust is from the brushes for the motor.

Today I realized some smoke coming from my engine which is smelling like burnt oil (to say like P/S fluid sort off). The smoke is coming from in between the windshield and the hood opening, I opened the hood and I can see fumes coming between the firewall and the engine (driver's side). This is the first time I am observing these kind of fumes from my engine except when my p/s return pipe leaked in the past and dropped oil over the passenger's side cat and it was taken care off.
Any ideas??? I have checked the tranny fluid and the level is good and the color is nice. Checked the P/S fluid level and it is where it normally used to be.
thanks,
-Pavan

Didn't you say you had an oil leak before? Check that oil level and see if its low.

I can't believe the amount of gunk that came out of there.

Hi,
I have replaced my Oil filler duct O-Ring as the old one became hard enough to let oil come out of it. Now, I hope I wont be having any oil coming out and spreading all over my driver's side of the engine. But there is not oil dripping from the engine, which seems as a good thing for me.
Now, the next technical issue I want to deal with is the heating problem (hot air getting into the car from the air ducts after running the car for sometime) which some of us get around by switching on the circulation mode and block the incoming air. I think we have discussed with this issue many times before and many members are having this problem. Is there any real and complete solution for this??

thanks,
-Pavan.

Re: A few annoying problems I want to fix:

To the top!

What kind of oil drops should I use on the heater thing? Mine makes a similar noise. And when you used an air compressor, where did you blow the air to get more dust out?

-Dennis

Check that last post... 06/06/06, scary stuff
