Transmission filter kit

Hello,
Does anyone have changed the transmission filter? I've seen there are tansmission filters and transmission filters kits, what is the difference?
Does anyone know an european online store (webpage) where I could by the SVX's transmission filter/kit?
Another question: does the SVX have particles fiter?
Thanks!

There are 2 filters

- there is a screen filter located in the transmission oil pan
- there is a particle filter located at the bottom of the radiator. This filter is approximately the same size as the fuel filter.

Wich filter is the filter of the photo?
I've found this filter in many U.S. online stores but not the radiator one you said.
P.D.: when i said particles filter I referred to "pollen filter".
To have the things clearly can anyone post ALL the filters the SVX has(Air filter, transmission filter or filters, oil filter...)
thanks!

That one is inside the transmission. You can see it once you remove the transmission oil pan.

"The early automatic transmission failures were caused by a screen installed at the entrance of the transmission cooler. Normal wear debris would build up at the screen and reduce/stop automatic transmission fluid flow and thus kill the transmission. Subaru later corrected this by removing the screen and installing a proper filter in the automatic transmission fluid circuit."

The screen that was removed was in the radiator. The internal transmission screen filter should never be removed (unless you want to immediately kill your tranny).

Inside the radiator ? Sound unlikely, the heat exchanger is usually just a length of steel pipe sitting in one of the headers. It describes it as if was in the transmission oil pan.

It mentions the entrance of the transmission cooler. This cooler is in the radiator. Only the 92's had the screen. The newer radiators do not have this screen.

Yes, there was a screen that plugged up in the radiator on the 92.

Yours should have that filter. It's located at the bottom of the radiator on the left hand side.

Transmission. It filters particles too small to be caught by the internal transmission screen filter.
