How can I tell if my rear diff is LSD?

I had some transmission guy misdiagnose a rear end problem several months ago so I replaced the rear diff in my 94 LSi. I think I may have ended up with a non LSD rear end but I'm not sure how to tell. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Nate

There should be a tag on the rear diff indicating the gear ratio as well as if it's LSD.

Lsd.

I thought that all 3.54 diffs were Limited slip.
Anyway, jack one back wheel off the ground, try turning it, if it is very hard to turn, it's LSD. Easy to turn, it's an open diff.

Harvey.

Do that and you'll roll the car off the jack.

Better idea: Get two people and get one to hold one wheel and the other to spin the other. After a little bit of turning, the person holding the wheel should notice that it will want to turn as the LSD will be in "locked position."

The car can't roll off the jack, as the parking pawl will prevent the front wheels from moving.
