Re: Where do I put Seafoam?
Any tips on getting those vacuum lines off if they are stubbornly stuck to the TB?
Also would splitting the procedure between each side of the TB vacuum lines (pictured above) be any better than just dumping into one? Thanks

Re: Where do I put Seafoam?
Try getting some needle nose pliers in there. Start at the bottom (end of the hose) and rotate the hose a little, move up some and repeat. Keep moving up until you find the top of the metal tube. Once it's loose up to the end of the metal tube you should be able to work it off without causing any damage. If the vacuum hose cracks, it was time to be replaced anyways . . .
If you only use one hose, you'll only get half of the engine. It's pretty much two independent air intakes beyond that point. I'm not looking at my engine right now but that's what I remember. Go slow with removing the vacuum lines and you might want to have someone to blip the throttle for you once you start sucking up the Sea Foam. If you live in town it's best to do it when it's dark so the neighbors can't see the smoke!

Re: Where do I put Seafoam?
I've used Seafoam in my 850GL motorcycle engine with great results. I will keep it in mind as I progress with my repairs..

Re: Where do I put Seafoam?
I know its an old thread but I wanted to post my results from the seafoam treatment.
I put half a can through each side of the TB while the car was parked and of course running. I was a little shocked with the lack of buildup being cleared. I then took the car out and for the next few miles it was like the back of my car was on fire. The amount of smoke was insane and I am glad I did this in the middle of nowhere without other cars. The car definitely is running better. I wouldnt hesitate to say it was never done on the car before. I think I may do another pass through to see if anything was left.
