Good day at the garage!
I put my alternator back in today after a thorough cleaning. For some time now my battery has been draining overnight. I traded in my optima for a subaru battery and undid the alternator mod. So far everything seems to work fantastic. She started up like a rocket and shows 14v at the battery. Here is the best part, my sealbelts work perfectly. For about a year now they have been getting stuck in the closed position, you would have to open the door before shutting the car off to activate the relay. Do you think low voltage could have led to malfunctioning seatbelts? I also think possibly the terminal coming off the alternator may have been touching the alternator
 I wonder if this may have been the source of my draining problems. Anyone who has done the alternator mod be careful because there is very little clearance between the alternator and the terminals. Thought I'd share! Woo Hoo!

Any time you have low voltage, there may be some problems with things working properly. That may have done it. I am glad to hear that everything is working properly again.
