Wiper Refills

All,

My wipers on my '95 bit the dust. I went to get refills from my local subie dealer. The parts guy tells me he can only get the entire blades since Subaru no longer makes the refills. I would get new blades but they want $26 each for them.!

Do any of you know of some alternatives where I can get refills for the OE blades? My fall back position is getting some Bosch blades and replacing the OE ones. If getting aftermarket is my only alternative, do any of you have any recommendations?

Thanks,

Yoshi

Yoshi,
Before this gets buried...

I have replaced mine every 6 months (I would recommend this to anyone that lives in a dry area) with the Bosch blades. Yes there is that little streak where the runner hits the rubber but on a rainy day that disappears soon.

Good luck

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Blades

Hi Yoshi, Anco, Bosch, Etc Have refills for OEM blades. You just take out the old blade and slide in the new. This lets you keep the wiper with the rubber block that lifts the blade off the glass at rest. Take care, BOBB

Months? I replace mine every couple of years.

Checker sells some for about $10 I think if you don't want to deal with refills. That's where I got mine but I can't remeber the make.

I have Bosch wipers on mine. They work great. You shouldn't have to replace them as much as the cheaper brands, either.
