Caffeine & Octaine

I was just watching Caffeine & Octaine on Motor Trend TV. Normally the show comes from Atlanta, GA. But this episode was titled " Amelia Generation" (S2 Ep8) and was split between Amelia, FL. and Atlanta. They had John Oates (Hall & Oates) on about his special Porshe in Ameliia. While they were showing the Porshes in the Radwood section of Amelia you could see a silver and black pearl SVX parked next to a yellow Mazda RX-7 behind the Porshes. I was stunned. The SVX was a beauty. Maybe we have finally arrived. Was it anyone here?

Larry, I agree with you: I think we've arrived! And although it can't hold a candle to Amelia Island, I plan to take the '97 to a cars & coffee event in this area on Saturday morning for the first time; will be interested to see the reactions. I'll post a few picts here once the show's over.

An interesting experience to say the least! We arrived later than intended, but heard a lot of comments (positive) from the crowd as we drove through looking for a parking space. We were only able to stay for a couple hours. At the end, there were quite a few people around the car asking questions about it and commenting that they hadn't seen one in a very long time. We will return in the near future!

Hahaha ! Mine too ! Although it'll never be shown at Katie's C&C...maybe my 97 Ebony will once I fix her qtr panel.

For now only the Supra's and RX7 have been there. Lots of "EXOTICARS" there !!!

Well, the funny thing is, this is original paint. Full disclosure though, I'd spent the better part of a month pouring over the car when I was detailing it, so this probably is not a normal end result. There are still scratches and scrapes here and there and a lot of small rock chips on the hood, but I really wanted to get it looking as good as I could and still keep all the original paint. I've touched up a few of the larger rock chips on the hood and front fenders, but that's it. Also, as an aside, after polishing, it was topped off with GTechniq Crystal Serum Light and Exo.

And yeah, I'll def. be returning to Katie's a few times this season and will try to make a few more meets as well, time permitting.

I have brought my JDM out to three "Breakfast Club Rally" events lately. Feels good to be included among the other "prestige" vintage cars.

Excellent looking event with tons of eye candy. Had mine over at a Cars and Coffee in Moraga last month. Still doesn't seem to get as much attention as I wish but does get some lookers.
