Climate control panel part #'s

So, the climate control panel in my 92' LSL is wigging out.
I looked on eBay and found several for sale. (surprising)
I noticed that there were different part numbers on the id tags.
Not sure if it has to do with the color of the panel or the year of the car that it came out of or the trim level.
Will any panel work in my LSL?
Thanks.

Re: Climate control panel part #'s

I believe they will all work. LsL is wood grain and "lesser" models are plain. The wood grain is a different color between the early models and later ones.

Re: Climate control panel part #'s

You can change the front panel over between the two different colours.

Re: Climate control panel part #'s

Okay.
After more research on subaruparts.com, I found that the 92' has p/n 72030PA031. The years 93' and up use p/n PA100.
The trim level doesn't seem to matter. No idea if there are any differences internally.
I may just get the newer version and see what happens.

Re: Climate control panel part #'s

What exactly is wrong with the air conditioner control panel?

The problem that the set temperature changes on its own without being touched button may be fixed by replacing the chemical condenser.
