cruise control unit in US

Hi,

Please tell me about the US spec SVX cruise control. JDM's SVX's cruise control has a limit to the speed that can be set. When the SVX was released, the speed limit in Japan was 100km/h. Therefore, cruise control could only be set below 105Km/h.

I got the 87022PA020 off eBay and analyzed it. It was not able to work in JDM's SVX without modification, but with some modify it's now working.

So, I found this site has a parts list. US SVX cruise control unit part numbers are as follows.

'92-'93 87022PA020
'94- 87022PA090

Also, JDM version is

'91-'93 87022PA000
'94- 87022PA080

My SVX here in Canada has no speed limitation. I'm positive the US cars are the same. 105 KPH limit is ridiculous.

I also think the 105km/h limit is ridiculous. However, I think that the cruise control of JDM cars at that time had similar restrictions. In addition, the ECU also has a speed limit of 180Km/h. However, my SVX has both restrictions removed, so it works properly even at 200km/h or more.

what about the UK or Australia ?

According to http://www.alcyone.org.uk/ssm/ccu.html, part number cruise control unit in UK is 87022AA190. It is different from US/Canada and Japan.

When I owned a Canadian market 94 SVX it had no speed limiter on either the cruise control or standard driving. The fastest I used cruise control at was about 260kmh. I now own a 95 JDM model and am interested in modifying my JDM cruise control unit as average highway speeds are 120-140kmh.

The site mentions selling a modified JDM unit but only within japan, if they were to become available to people globally I would love to get my hands on one

I spent a lot of time, effort and some money making this modification.
It seems that there is currently no one in Japan willing to pay for this modified cruise control unit.

I currently have some spare modified cruise control units for JDM SVX, roughly how much will you pay for it ?

This project is currently on hold, but I may restart it if anyone is interested in buying it at a reasonable price.

I have received several PMs. So, I'm so busy in this week. pls wait for few days to reply. I'll see how many units I can part with. It will be in a box in the corner of the warehouse. Used SVX cruise control units are hard to come by today.

I want to give everyone who wants it the same opportunity to buy it at the same price.

I only have only one modified units for now, so this would require either purchasing some additional used units from eBay or having the original unit sent back.

I am waiting for a reply from all the person I sent the PM.
