Re: 97 SVX-LSI Updated and improved

Has your car been sold yet? I have had 3 SVXs in the past and would love to have another. I would need to get rid of a 2008 Corvette with 38XX (38 hundred) miles on it to be able to garage your beautiful car. Anyone out there wish to change loyalties and buy a Chevy?

No offence to us SVX owners but that Vette is 10 times the car that the SVX is.
I'm a GM guy with 3 Subarus.

Re: 97 SVX-LSI Updated and improved

Better car, I'll grant.

But 10 times? really?

probably not for 3 people, or in bad weather. And a 3800 mile car probably isn't a great candidate for eating mileage, daily or occaisional... it would ruin the resale.

Smile Re: 97 SVX-LSI Updated and improved

I just did a road trip from San Francisco to Vegas
This car is so much fun to drive i forgot that the Nevada Highway patrol does not really like you to drive 120+ mph on their roads???
I got popped just coming down the hill into the Vegas valley.
The car now has "ALCYONE" plates coming in the mail
The car did great the whole way but the drive line i purchased from "tom svx" in early 2007 seems to have failed again or is failing with an imbalance condition???
The car is back in storage for another 2 months while im here in Dubai working to earn more money to spend on this car.
Im not even sure if i should sell it as the other day when i totaled all my receipts from my ownership to create this example of the SVX i was sickened to see that i have spent over 14,000$ for all the mods and restoration and generally an open checkbook for maintenance.
This has been one of the most expensive cars i have ever owned to keep happy!
But it keeps me happy when i drive it and thats the point of owning one of these babies!!!
