Evoscan

Has anyone here hooked up an Evoscan to their SVX ?

I have the special cable, Evoscan software and a Windows laptop.
Evoscan software fires up ok (after faffing around with .NET for ages and finally paying a nerd to fix it), but Evoscan doesn't seem to see the car computer ?

Any suggestions are welcome.

cheers
Shane

Re: Evoscan

Thanks Tom, that thread is over 50 pages long. I tried reading through it, but brain lacks horsepower (or is it kilowatts these days) to ingest it all.

Update on the Evoscan front :
Hamish (writer of the Evoscan software) spent an hour trying to get Evoscan to talk to my car without success. He's certain the laptop/software/cable are ok.

I've since tried the laptop/software and another Evoscan cable from Hamish on two other SVXs and can't get it to work.

Took my car to a local auto electrician who used his generic scanner to successfully pull CEL codes from my car, so that proves the car ECU is ok.

Run out of ideas, so handed the laptop etc to another (smarter) SVX owner to see if he can figure it out.
