I think you should reword your question, it still does not make sense to me.

Are you asking if I agree that the IDF laid waste to Lebanon? How could I not agree? However... my above statement stands as to why.

I will give this one more stab.

You asked: "Why did the IDF destroy so many parts of Lebanon where Hezbollah did not have a prominent presence."?

My answer was: "The IDF pushed Hezbollah into those regions, and that became the new warzone." You have to fight the enemy where they are. If they fall back, and the IDF persues... well.. again... Its obvious.
