Immobiliser delete / disable

Hi

My 92 SVX won't start after the battery was disconnected for a long time and then, when I reconnected the battery, I connected it wrong way around. It caused a short and blew some fuses, which an auto electrician fixed for me. It started a handful of times but everytime struggled to disarm the immobiliser. It took a good couple of presses on the remote before it finally disarmed. Once disarmed, the engine started. But then after 2 or 3 trips round the block, it just stopped working. At first, I thought the remote battery is dead. Replaced it, but still doesn't work. So, I think the immobiliser unit is also fried and want to disable or remove it. Anyone know how to? It is an aftermarket unit.
