Or, if your plates are steel. Get magnetic tape for the back of the "pretty plate".

Plates also are a good target for the LEOs to aim at with their radar or lazer guns. That is the main reason we can't get the two plate law off the books.

They also tagged my girlfriend for her custom made front plate with her name on it. Cops around here use it as a good excuse for after they pulled you over and searched your car for no reason and find nothing else to charge you with...
