Re: would this help with the parasitic drain?
.
No it wouldn't help. Whatever is causing the parasitic drain is there all the time, when the engine is off, draining the battery. This unit is inoperative when the ignition is turned off so it does not prevent anything For information on how to diagnose a parasitic drain on your electrical system, check HERE and HERE .

Re: would this help with the parasitic drain?
If you are having problems with a drain, check your battery first. I know this sounds stupid but I went through this earlier this winter. And after spending a couple hours of my life I'll never get back troubleshooting the fuses,it turned out to be the battery. It appeared sound until a load was put on it and then it went south in a big way.No start, not even a click.New battery and it's all good. This thing looks more like something geared towards people with killer stereos.
