Reading NINE Hotel Information
I have been in contact with Sydney Simpson at the Morgantown HI to give her a heads up for reservations that weekend.
Since we ran out of accommodations at the 35-room level, I decided to up the quantity to 50 rooms. This year the room cutoff will be 60 days prior to the start of the meet. This means that if you are even remotely thinking of attending, get on the list early to secure your room. Your CC will not be charged and you can cancel up to 24 hours before you are scheduled to arrive. This will be easier than trying to add rooms to a smaller block at the last minute. You could even reserve more than one room and sell it to someone who finds out about this too late to get a room. I am also in discussions about our dissatisfaction with the last-minute Saturday lunch changes and how to prevent this in the future. We will also discuss how we can make it better and run more efficiently than last year. The contract for Reading 9 has now been signed and returned as of April 30, 2007 RECAP Dates: . Morgantown Holiday Inn Rate: . $75.00/night (plus 11% tax, or $83.25/night) Number of rooms:. 50 Breakdown of Rooms: 40 rooms with two queen beds. 10 king suites with one king bed If we fill up this block early enough and need more queen beds, we should be able to add/substitute. I just got off the phone with them. They won't let me book until you sign the contract.  Let me know when you do it, the earlier I make reservations, the less likely my boss can send me to canada or california for business trip that weekend.  Come on, we've only got 350ish days until it's time! What's taking so long???

She is staying three nights, Friday 4/20, Saturday, 4/21 and Sunday, 4/20. Checking out on the 21st. 2 nights @$75.00/night plus 11% tax, or $83.25/night = $166.50 1 night @ $112.00 plus 11% tax, or $124.32 Total: $290.82 UPDATE 1/10/08 Marisa is now only staying two nights. She thought that Reading went through most of Sunday (20th) and that she might not be able to get a late flight out and would have to stay over until Monday. Once she found out that most people were gone by noon or so, she canceled that third night. .

Reservation Cutoff Date Approaching Fast!
12 days until the reservation cutoff! The cutoff date for getting rooms for Reading IX at the preferred rate is Monday, February 18, 2008 I spoke with the Holiday Inn this afternoon and there are still 28 rooms available for Friday and 29 available for Saturday. The breakdown of availability is: Friday: 5 king suites and 23 queen rooms with 2 beds each Saturday: 5 king suites and 24 queen rooms with 2 beds each Those who have not confirmed their rooms: DO IT NOW!! Your credit card will NOT be charged, it just holds the room. Your card is only charged AFTER you check out. If you can't make it, just cancel 48 hours before. We still have 2 rooms added to the block for THURSDAY, APRIL 17 (for the really early birds) and 2 rooms for SUNDAY, APRIL 20 (for those who don't want the party to end... Which is most of us!) .
