the U.S. is getting the Legacy 3.0R for '08, but i don't believe it has the 6-speed like the JDM version. 245hp 3.0L H6.

what specs do you need?

3.0R = 245hp
2.5GT = 250hp (underrated, more like 270hp on the dyno)
2.5i = who cares

I wasn't aware that the 2008 legacy 3.0R put out 245 hp, was just wondering what the 0-60 times were, kinda disappointed that its actually going down in hp compared to the 2007 turbocharged legacies with 250...oh well, at least it looks nice.

with the new ratings, i think the GT's are "rated" at 243hp, but its actually more, like the new WRX's are a bit more than the rated 230hp. the ratings don't mean much.

your best bet is to try to find a local owner and go for a drive. new ones at a dealership may need some driving time to get the computer to be more responsive, so you may not get the true feel of what its actually like. when i drive the wife's WRX, it feels lethargic until i wring it out a little - she drives way too conservatively and the ECU adjusts accordingly.

I believe the the manufactures do something to the ECU to restrict preformance for a breakin period. My fathers Trailblazer SS felt like it picked up another 40hp when it hit 3000 miles. a few people he works with have noticed simular things on other cars.
