SVX vs. Chevy Silverado (Chevy wins)

I managed to rear-end a chevy truck today (go me). No damage to the truck. My front bumper has the impression of a trailor hitch on it now. (goes well with the dent on my drivers door) I'm really surprised at the minimal damage to my car since i hit this guy while moving along pretty well. The driver was very nice and understanding. He asked if I was OK, and invited me to his church. We then shook hands and departed. The experiance was quite the eye-opener.

Poor new SVX...

But I'm very very happy that you are ok and that the damage was that minimal.

Similar outcome without the religious overture when I was rear-ended in my truck. Guys ranger had the bumper pushed bask about 4 inches and I was less than civil, though my truck sustained no damage.

We've been having some terrible weather this month and I've been noticing that there are too many people tailgating here.

Too many times now I've noticed these people and intentionally I will hit the brakes...not hard enough for them to hit me but enough for me to see them panic and start swerving side to side from the ice.

My intent is for them to realize they're too close and back off a bit but usually their reaction is to try to get around me and tailgate the person in front of me instead.

Maybe he wanted to pray with ya to ask God for some help with your driving skills . Glad you were okay and please email me about that fender. I need to get moving on the race car!

Just glad to hear you are ok, Mike. Shame about that lovely 92 you have getting damaged though.

I was rear-ended in my SVX right after I bought it by a '93 Silverado doing about 40 or so; had to replace the bumper and the center and left plastic, and realign the trunk, but everything else was fine. Just pushed me about 150ft or so. Crazy thing is I still had control of the vehicle because I was able to avoid hitting the cars in front of me.

Damn Chevy's and their, uh, bigness.
