NASA-VA HPDE VIR Track Day Feb 22-23
Anyone interested in doing a track day in Feb? A bunch of subies from NY/NJ will be heading down for this event. Great way to really work your car out in a controlled environment.

I doubt "ice-covered" but they do run rain or shine. 2 days of track for $299 is a bargain. Lets see what those SVXs can do out there!

Well, lets see....
There were torrential downpours with 40-50mph winds on saturday @ VIR. But it totally rocked. Nothin like putting the AWD to work and totally kicking butt. In the rain the only car that passed me was a 911 Nothing like following a 911 25 feet behind him @ 100+mph down the back-straight while passing an E36 M3 in total pouring rain! The SVX did great. Ran her in 2nd gear the whole track except it shifted to 3rd on the straights. Tranny ran at 200-250degrees which was higher than I'd like but not that bad. Engine did great considering it was 20-30min @ 6,000 RPMs. Overall I learned a lot and had fun Pics will be up at http://teamiac.com shortly. -mike |
