subaruparts

I ordered an ACT clutch from their website a week ago and it still says the order hasn't been processed yet. Should I call them and order it or what, that's ridiculous. the clutch is a vital asset to the completion of my conversion.
Thanks,
Chris

The only luck I've ever had with subaruparts.com was when I called and talked to somebody - and that takes some doing. Don't call the 800 number on their site, because nobody ever answers it and there's no way to leave a message. I called the dealer and demanded to talk to a person in the internet parts ordering dept.

When I have placed orders in the past, that message saying "your order has not yet been processed blah blah blah" has usually stayed up there until I actually received the part at my front door. The last several times I have called them, I have not been able to talk to anyone. I tried about 7 or 8 times over a two day period and never heard an non-recorded human voice. Next time I need something, I'm going to try that new 1stsubaruparts.com site.

Any time that I have had problems, I have called and asked for Trish. If she was not available, anyone that they transferred me to was very helpful. I tried ordering the same part at the same time from both of the parts.com people, and they arrived within one day of each other. One came mail, the other came Fedex. The mail came the day before the other.

The dealership number is 253-473-6200 and you need to ask for Trish. It may be a long distance call, but I have had much better results. You don't just get a recording.

Good luck.

Okay guys and gals, out here in NJ it's no big deal. Call Liberty Subaru in Oradel NJ and place the order and then go pick it up a few days later. Even on Saturday...... Just say you got a Car and Driver coupon and get a 25% discount. You also get to talk to a real person.(I really like that eek face.) Jason the SVX expert. They have a few WRX automatics on sale now. ( My 2nd favorite smiles.)

Subaruparts.com

For whay they are worth, Subaru parts.com does a good job. Especially considering the price...the dealer here in Honolulu normally charges 150% of the .com price...

So if it takes them a couple of weeks for back order who cares! When you are talking about ordering over $1000 in parts, it's cheaper to just rent a car while they get it to me. I would do anything to not put profit on the bottom line of the dealership (Schuman Carriage) out here.

However the good news is: a new dealer has opened in Aiea and these guys are talking the talk, I will soon find out about the walk!
