I'm baaaaaaaaack!!!

Hey guys!! I'm not going to be selling my SVX after all. I found a buyer for my 240sx (after buying this little number. an '00 M Coupe)

And now I'll be able to afford to keep the svx as my big, comfy daily driver. You all know how I put over 1500 into the engine getting it back to my 'spec.

And another 1500 into the seatbelt, getting it fixed.

I still need to get the tranny's wierd problem fixed, but aside from that, she's still clean as ever, and after buying new tires, we found out the old wheels are so corroded, they can't seal properly!

So, some new rims it is!

180 dollars for all 4, brand new, with lugs.

I may powdercoat them gunmetal. but that's in the future.

for now, here's a pic of the car itself (sans the new wheels. those go on in a few days)

Sadly, they're only 16x7, which isn't as wide as I'd like. But such is a small price to pay. I'm probably going to get some better wheels later, but at the moment, I needed some cheap beaters.

I love the car, and hated the idea of selling it (nearly as much as I hate the idea of selling my 240) but now I can keep her, and am very happy. Next real "mods" will be a 5 or 6 speed tranny swap, and some bigger brakes.

It's got a thoroughly clean interior (aside from the driver's seat being in crummy shape on the bolster) and exterior, minus two spots of fading on the clearcoat on the side that are hard to spot. the engine is spotless, pulls hard, and the entire thing is just a treat, it's so quiet and comfortable.

If the bolster is worn, you can use the seat conditioner that is sold on ebay. It is a stain and makes the leather look like nothing ever happened to the leather. Car looks great! Good luck.

I like the rims and am looking forward to seeing a pic of them on the car. Where'd you get them from? What tires are you putting on?

I am curious about something about your M. Does it come with the European spec M engine (321bhp) or the usual USDM 240bhp??

s52, so only 240. But this summer it's getting some blow and I'm aiming for 450 rwhp

The bolster isn't worn, a chunk of it is completlely GONE.

Rims were an auction on ebay. sharked them out at 180 5 seconds before it ended.

We're going to see how well stock size tires fit them, but probably will go for something around stock size if we don't like them.

Opinion- Should I mount the wheels so they're sort of cutting fowards, like the stocker svx wheels, or the other way around, so they're "smoother"

No they don't. Mine has the gills shaved, body/frame changed to lexus ice white, Nose altered, wheels powdercoated black, badges moved, eyelids painted on, and a slightly larger rear spoiler added. (previous owner did the work)

$10,000 US for the car to look how it does now.

Those wheels you bought aren't directional, so they'll only go on one way. One side will point forward, the other backwards.

The MZ3 has side grills on its front hood. I think the Hood has a dimple on it also...

labor, a new motor and assembly. dealership done.

My M had the side gills (they go on the hood right abofe the tiny little fender) shaved. when you remove them, there's a dimple behind them, but he had the shop level it out.

The dimple where the bmw roundel went has also been filled.

You can get the parts used for considerably less, and seatbelts are easy as hell. Shouldnt be too hard to find a member with power belts for sale (Me..) and the know how to walk you through the installation (....me)
just lookin out for ya, sorry to derail the convorsation

We discussed this a long time ago. I didn't have to pay for the repairs (seller on ebay told me that everything worked, when the seatbelt motor was long burnt out and corroded, so he paid out the ass for it)

I could have done it myself easily, but I don't care how money of someone else's who lied to me in the first place and then was a complete asshole to me I spend.
